- Our main website is a secure website and data is encrypted between your browser and the hosting server.
- Any technical support data, including usernames / passwords will be and held as securely as possible.
- If required, we can advise clients on the best way to store data securely and to protect from data loss. We recommend daily offsite or online backups and the backup data should be password-protected and encrypted.
- We can also advise on best practices for protecting your devices and infrastructure from hackers.
- Please note that clients are responsible for their own data security and data backups. We are happy to offer advice in this area if required. We cannot be held responsible for any data loss.
- For web hosting, the client is required to keep their own copy of their website and any data held on the hosting server, e.g. HTML files, documents, data, photographs, databases, Wordpress etc. Again, we cannot be held responsible for any data loss.
- We recommend that all client websites are protected with an SSL certificate. Please get in touch if you would like us to help with this.
If at any time you feel that we have not adhered to these principles, please contact us at into@totalscope.co.uk and we will use all reasonable efforts to determine and correct the problem immediately. Please note that we may update our Privacy Policy from time to time.
You may request details of personal information which we hold about you under the Data Protection Act 1998. A small fee will be payable. If you would like a copy of the information held on you please write to Totalscope Creative Ltd, 40 Fareham Close, Walton-le-Dale, Preston, PR5 4JX.
You may withdraw consent for us to hold your data at any time. If you would like to do this, please email info@totalscope.co.uk or write to us at the above postal address. Please also confirm in writing that you have your own copy of any technical data that is essential to your business, such as usernames / passwords etc. and that you are happy for us to delete the data we hold.
If you believe that any information we are holding on you is incorrect or incomplete, please let us know as soon as possible. We will promptly correct any information found to be incorrect.
